Backlog recovery: where to start when you're behind
Falling behind feels like a verdict. It’s a scheduling problem.
Rank chapters by marks per hour
List your backlog chapters and mark each as high, medium or low weightage in the exam you’re targeting. Clear high-weightage, low-effort chapters first.
Split your day
Keep roughly two thirds of study time on current classes and one third on backlog. Putting 100% on backlog means you fall behind on the present.
Use short sprints
Pick a chapter, finish theory plus a fixed question set in one sprint, and move on. A chapter that is 80% done and closed beats one that stays open for a month.
Track streaks, not hours
Count consecutive days you hit your backlog quota. A streak is easier to protect than a total.
